Chessin1day is beyond excited to be a recipient of

🤎Hershey's Heartwarming Young Heroes Grant #HeartwarmingProject 🤎

​

On April 20th Chessin1day hosted a "Let's Play Chess Party" specifically

for Underserved Youth/Family Community Based Organizations:

  • The Boys & Girls Club Stamfor

  • Horizons Norwalk & Bridgeport

  • Jewish Family Services Greenwich

  • New Canaan Youth & Family Services.

The New Canaan Library (CT) generously provided the event space!

This fun-filled service initiative included:complimentary chess instruction, chess cake, HERSHEY chocolate,

music & US Chess SWAG & Chess.com Diamond Memberships for participants!

  •  70+ Players 

  • 25 Teen Volunteer Instructors

  • Dionna Carlson, First Selectwoman New Canaan made the first move on the board
